Homeless Students
Keystone Central School District will ensure that each child of a homeless individual and each homeless youth has equal access to the same free, appropriate public education as provided to other children and youth within the district.

An unaccompanied homeless youth may enroll without documents and without the help of an adult.

Please contact Mrs. Ralonda Murty at 570-484-1910 for assistance in enrolling if you are a homeless youth unaccompanied by a parent/guardian.

Special circumstances cover homeless youth enrollment.
Forms To Complete
Home Language Survey

All students seeking first time enrollment in a school will receive a home language survey in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.

Registration Form

The registration form that we ask families to complete when enrolling a child includes the following: name, address, telephone number, name of parent(s)/guardian(s) or resident adult(s) with whom the student is living, emergency contact information, former school information, and other locally required information.
Parent Registration Statement
Consent to Exchange Information / Documentation Required from Other Sources

The district is entitled by law to receive information on an enrolling student from the previous school, public, charter, nonpublic or private, which the student attended. The provision of this information rests with the educational entity, not the family. The lack of this information will not prevent your child from entering by at least the fifth day after initial enrollment. You may be requested to complete a form providing consent to exchange information with a former school district or outside agency so that the district can obtain the documentation from prior educational entities.
Start Date Information
Students registering during the summer will likely be ready to begin on the first student day. Parents/guardians would be notified ahead of time regarding exceptional circumstances.

Students registering during the school year will be entered no earlier than the next business day and no later than five (5) business days from the initial date of enrollment at the Central Registration location. A representative from the school will contact you to tell you when to start. Lack of immunizations and/or proper residency documentation can/will delay or prevent students from starting right away.

Students will not begin classes on the date of registration.
